BORN OF TRADITION. DESIGNED TO ENDURE. MADE TO BE TREASURED.

🌿 Collares: The Beaded Crowns of Ecuadorian Princesses

In Ecuador, "collares " are not just beautiful beaded necklaces, they are powerful symbols of heritage, status, and identity.  Today, at Cartañia, we honor this tradition and reinterpret it for the modern princess: a woman who carries her roots with pride and wears her heritage as boldly as a crown.

Every collar is a statement—a celebration of culture, a declaration of strength, and an invitation to shine with grace and confidence.

A Mission of Visibility

Born to Indigenous Ecuadorian parents and shaped by my journey as a International Masters Social Worker, I have witnessed the quiet ache of unseen heritage—the deep longing to be seen, to be honored.

As a child, I carried the weight of invisibility in spaces that overlooked my roots—a pain no one should bear.

Cartañia was born from that longing: a place where culture shines through every bead, where identity is worn with dignity, grace, and pride.

Our Collares speak softly but fiercely—they are stories, whispers of resilience, bold declarations: “I am here. My story lives.”

In a world where Indigenous voices are fading and traditions risk being lost, Cartañia stands as a light—a call to remember, to celebrate, to rise.

We walk alongside youth and communities, inspiring them to claim their heritage boldly, knowing their stories are precious and powerful.

✨ Cartañia: Where Heritage Meets Modern Royalty

Cartañia is more than a brand—it is my story, my culture, and my vision brought to life.

As an Indigenous Ecuadorian American, I carry the rich legacy of my ancestors and their timeless traditions. At the heart of Cartañia is the collar—a symbol of status, strength, and identity deeply rooted in Ecuadorian history.

We are reimagining this ancient art for today’s world, transforming the traditional collares into crowns for modern-day princesses. Cartañia invites everyone—whether Ecuadorian, American, or beyond—to see and celebrate the beauty of this heritage and what it means to wear it with pride.

This is real history. Real tradition. Real power.

Through Cartañia, I celebrate the strength of my traditions and the power of fashion to tell our stories, inspiring a new generation to embrace their roots and claim their own crown.
